These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase or rental of products from Royal Balloon, accessible at www.royalballoon.ie.

By placing an order and ticking the box at checkout, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept them, you will not be able to order goods or services from our website.

1. Balloon Decor & Rental Items

1.1 Definitions

Product
Custom-made, inflated balloon decorations delivered ready for use (for example helium balloons, balloon arches, garlands, and other balloon displays). These items are intended for single-event use.

Rented Product
Reusable items provided temporarily for events (for example backdrops, frames, cake stands, artificial flowers, hoops, easels). These items remain the property of Royal Balloon and must be returned after the event.

1.2 Balloon Disposal & Collection Policy

For balloon arches and installations, customers may request to keep the balloons after the event. This request must be made before the installation or event takes place.

If no request is made in advance, our team will normally pop and dispose of the balloons responsibly during collectionas part of our environmentally responsible disposal procedure.

For outdoor installations, balloons may be treated with a shine and protection spray to improve appearance and durability. Once applied, balloons may become sticky and unsuitable for reuse.

If you wish to keep balloons from an outdoor installation, please inform us before the event so we can ensure the balloons are not treated with this spray.

1.3 Rental Agreement

• Rented items are delivered, installed, and collected by our team at an agreed time.
• Standard collection normally takes place after the event, unless otherwise arranged.
• Customers must ensure rented items are stored safely and kept dry until collection.

1.4 Care & Responsibility

Customers are responsible for rented items during the rental period.

Replacement or repair charges may apply if items are:

• lost
• stolen
• damaged
• tampered with

Items must be returned in the same condition in which they were delivered.

1.5 Ownership

Inflated balloon decorations are considered purchased items and are non-returnable.

Rented items remain the property of Royal Balloon and are provided for temporary use only.

1.6 Liability

Royal Balloon is not responsible for injury, damage, or inconvenience caused by misuse of products or rented equipment.

Customers must ensure children and guests do not tamper with decorations or rental items.

2. Application of Terms

These Terms and Conditions apply to all sales and rentals made through our website, phone, email, or in person.

A contract exists only once Royal Balloon confirms the order or dispatches the goods.

Customers must ensure that order details, specifications, and delivery information are correct and complete.

These Terms override any other conditions unless agreed in writing.

3. Description of Goods

Products will correspond as closely as possible to the agreed design and specifications.

Royal Balloon reserves the right to make minor adjustments where necessary, provided the overall appearance and quality are not significantly affected.

4. Website Access

Registration is not required to access most parts of our website.

Website content may be used for personal use only. Content must not be copied, reproduced, or used commercially without permission.

5. Price & Payment

Prices are as displayed on our website or otherwise agreed with the customer, except in cases of obvious error.

Prices may change at any time but will not affect confirmed orders.

Delivery and installation charges may apply.

Payment methods may include:

• PayPal
• Bank Transfer

6. Delivery

Goods will be delivered to the address provided by the customer.

Customers must ensure that accurate delivery information and Eircode are provided.

Royal Balloon is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect information or restricted access.

7. Website Use

We aim to keep the website available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

Users must not post or transmit content that is unlawful, offensive, harmful, defamatory, or infringing on third-party rights.

Linking to our website is permitted provided there is no false endorsement or misrepresentation.

8. Disclaimer

While we strive to keep website information accurate and up to date, Royal Balloon does not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of all content.

All information is provided without warranty and used at your own discretion.

9. Limitation of Liability

Royal Balloon shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of this website or our services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, as required under Irish law.

10. Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

11. Privacy Policy

Customer information is collected only for the purpose of processing orders and providing services.

Royal Balloon will not share personal information with third parties without consent, except where required to fulfil an order.

Payments are securely processed through Stripe and Permanent TSB. Royal Balloon does not store full payment details.

Customers may contact us to review or correct their personal information.

12. Returns Policy

Damaged items are rare due to careful packaging.

If an item arrives damaged, please contact us immediately so we can arrange a replacement.

Orders that have not yet been dispatched may be cancelled for a full refund.

Refunds may take up to 21 days, depending on payment processor timelines.

13. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation 48 hours or more before the event
→ Full refund

Cancellation 24–48 hours before the event
→ 50% refund

Cancellation less than 24 hours before the event
→ No refund

If an order is cancelled before payment is made, a cancellation invoice may be issued for the full product cost (excluding delivery) to cover preparation, materials, and scheduling commitments.

14. Outdoor Installations & Weather Conditions

Outdoor balloon installations are subject to weather conditions beyond our control, including wind, rain, heat, sunlight, and temperature changes.

These conditions may cause balloons to:

• deflate
• oxidise (become matte or cloudy)
• move or detach
• pop or deteriorate faster.

Royal Balloon cannot guarantee the lifespan of balloons installed outdoors and is not responsible for weather-related damage after installation.

15. Access & Installation Conditions

Customers must ensure safe and reasonable access for delivery, installation, and collection.

Where possible, please provide:

• nearby parking
• clear access to the installation area
• any venue permissions required.

Additional charges may apply if:

• parking is unavailable
• paid parking is required
• equipment must be carried long distances
• installation time is significantly extended.

16. Post-Installation Responsibility

Once installation has been completed and approved on site, responsibility for the decorations transfers to the customer or venue.

Royal Balloon is not responsible for damage, movement, or deterioration caused by:

• guests touching decorations
• venue staff moving installations
• cleaning or security staff relocating items
• children playing with balloons
• accidental interference after installation.

Customers and venue staff are asked not to move or tamper with installations, as this may affect stability and appearance.

17. Environmental Conditions

Balloon decorations are sensitive to environmental factors such as temperature, sunlight, strong lighting, air conditioning, wind, and humidity.

These conditions may cause balloons to:

• expand or contract
• fade or oxidise
• deflate or pop
• deteriorate faster.

Royal Balloon cannot guarantee balloon longevity once the installation has been completed and is not responsible for environmental damage after setup.

18. Photography & Marketing

Royal Balloon may take photographs or videos of installations for portfolio, website, social media, and promotional use.

Images will focus on decorations rather than individuals.

If customers prefer that photographs not be used for marketing, this must be requested in writing before the event.

19. Balloon Care Guidelines

To help your balloons last longer:

• keep balloons at room temperature
• avoid extreme heat or cold
• keep balloons away from sharp objects.

Balloon lifespan may vary depending on temperature, sunlight, and handling conditions.

Important Safety Information

• Balloons are decorations, not toys.
• Children must always be supervised by an adult when around balloons.
• Helium is non-toxic and non-flammable, but it must never be inhaled.
• Helium balloons are primarily intended for indoor use.
• Please dispose of balloons responsibly — Pin it & Bin it.

Outdoor Balloon Safety

For outdoor installations, balloons may be treated with a shine and protection spray to improve appearance and durability.

Once applied, balloons may become sticky. For safety and hygiene reasons, these balloons should not be reused or handled extensively after the event.

If you wish to keep balloons from an outdoor installation, please inform us before the event so they can be prepared without this treatment.

Our 200% service warranty applies only if you notify us before the event begins that there is an issue with your order, allowing us the opportunity to correct the problem immediately.
